Special Containment Procedures
Due to recent incidents, SCP-330 is to be placed in a secure storage facility until further notice. Access to SCP-330 or its contents requires Level 2 Clearance. Direct experimentation with SCP-330 is only permitted using Class D personnel without any genetic history of diabetes. No more than two (2) samples may be extracted from SCP-330 simultaneously, except during exposure testing.
Description
SCP-330 is a compact stainless steel bowl containing an assortment of individually wrapped candies, the quantity of which may vary. A handwritten note affixed to the bowl reads, "take no more than two, please!!" Efforts to remove or conceal the note have proven futile, as individuals inevitably find it impossible to resist reading the message. Even those who approach the note from the opposite side remain cognizant of the request.
When an individual extracts more than two pieces of candy, regardless of the method employed, both of their hands are instantaneously severed at the wrists through an unknown mechanism. Experiments involving remote manipulation by Class D personnel resulted in the operator's hands being severed despite the absence of direct contact. Examination of the incisions reveals that the cuts occur at the molecular level, leaving no discernible tool marks or identifying characteristics. Notably, the third piece must be removed within a specific timeframe. After 24 hours, the count "resets," and additional candy can be removed.
SCP-330 was discovered three days after Halloween in 20██ when a police investigation was initiated, suspecting a case of ritualistic dismemberment. SCP-330 was confiscated as evidence, but all responding officers perished after Officer ██████ emptied the bowl of its contents. The cause of death resulted from [DATA EXPUNGED]. Foundation Agents, operating under the guise of federal agents, successfully retrieved the object with acceptable casualties.
